Race Preview

STAR VEGA (3) hasn't won for over a year but his Pakenham Cup run was as good as anything and looks a top chance if runs to that. Drew off the track, went back to the tail, circled deep before the turn and kept coming to finish second. A few of these finished well behind him. Has a nice weight and draw and will be tough to hold out late. GARACHICO (4) also ran in the Pakenham Cup and his 10th was much better than it looked without luck. Has two "duck eggs" to his name last two but ready to fire after three runs in and this class and distance suits. Won't get a better chance to score. FUTURE HISTORY (1) is the fly in the ointment. Yet to be proven this longer journey and will have to shoulder the big weight but in great form and will be out front and rolling. He'll either pinch it or puncture. DIWALI (7) was ninth in the Pakenham Cup and is another down in the weights and at peak. INTERPRETATION (2) was runner-up in this last year and has place claims again.
