A World of Favourites Awaits

The Flemington Favourites range sees prices set at $5 on a number of popular and convenient race day grab-and-go foods. Included in the line up are gourmet pies and sausage rolls from new partner Casper’s Pies, hot chips, potato cakes, dim sims, hot jam donuts, hot dogs and bottles of water.

To celebrate the introduction of Flemington Favourites, a limited-time offer of $35 tickets to the Melbourne Cup Carnival are available for 35 hours only.

The special offer runs from 9am Wednesday 14 August to 8pm Thursday 15 August on all adult general admission tickets. A family general admission ticket is $70 during this period and a junior ticket (12 – 17 years) is $18.

Children under 12 can attend the Melbourne Cup Carnival for free, which is rare for a major event.

VRC’s Executive General Manager Experience and Events Luke Kinniburgh said the offers were an affordable way for racegoers to make the most of Cup Week.

“We want every person attending the Melbourne Cup Carnival to have a memorable and enjoyable experience that represents great value for money,” Mr Kinniburgh said. 

“The Flemington Favourites range has been introduced to keep the cost of a day at the races affordable for every Australian.

“The VRC has coupled this with a $35 ticket offer for 35 hours, which is exceptional value for the quality of entertainment on offer across world-class racing, fashion and live music.

“Cup Week is Australia’s original major event and we want to make sure it remains accessible to all Australians, as well as the tens of thousands of international visitors who come to Melbourne to be part of this iconic event each year.”

A general admission ticket provides free entry to The Park, home to Fashions on the Field and the Live Stage where some of Australia’s best musical talent will be on show.
