A General Admission ticket to Cup Week starts at just $60 and is a powerful thing with so much more than just racecourse entry. Once through the famous Flemington gates, your world – as they say – is your oyster (and champagne).
The Front Lawn
General admission racegoers can position themselves for a front row seat to a week of racing’s most iconic races: the Penfolds Victoria Derby, the Lexus Melbourne Cup, the Kennedy Oaks, and the TAB Champions Stakes – each race the Group 1 feature of the day. In a week littered with group racing, Cup Week attracts the world’s best horses, jockeys, and trainers all looking to write their names into racing folklore. The track is where history happens.
Leading eateries also star at Flemington during Cup Week ready to satisfy an array of tastes with dishes from around the world. The popular Japanese diner Mr Miyagi will be wowing racegoers at one end of the Front Lawn while up at the west end hungry patrons can get their fill with bratwursts and bretzels from Bratboy, Louisiana-style fried chicken from New Orleans Chicken, and Ninja burgers and gyozas from Katsu King.
Saintly Place Sports Bar will also be a bustling destination for its refreshing drinks, hot and cold takeaways, bar games, betting facilities and all the live racing action from around the grounds.
