Flemington Racecourse will host a special event by the Victorian Chamber of Commerce on Friday 14 October ahead of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Located in The Atrium, the event will feature key speakers including champion jockey Damien Oliver alongside media personality and racing lover Emma Freedman and Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Chief Executive Officer Steve Rosich.
Damien Oliver is the most successful rider in Melbourne Cup Carnival history, taking his record to 26 Group 1 wins during Cup Week in 2021 and is looking to further re-write the record books during Cup Week in 2022.
Steve Rosich will discuss plans for the Melbourne Cup Carnival, which will see a return to full crowds for the first time in three years.
Emma Freedman will touch on her fondest memories of Cup Week, including the five Cup victories of her father, champion trainer Lee Freedman.
Guests at the Victorian Chamber of Commerce event will enjoy a premium two-course meal in The Atrium as they hear from some of racing’s most popular figures.
The celebration continues in The Club Stand Roof Garden from 3pm to 5pm where guests can network and take in spectacular views of the Melbourne city skyline.
The Melbourne Cup Carnival is one of the highlights of Victoria’s major events calendar.
