Irish superstar Ronan Keating to perform at Flemington on Crown Oaks Day

The singer-songwriter found fame in 90s boyband Boyzone and has had a string of worldwide hits including Life Is A Rollercoaster and When You Say Nothing At All.

As a solo artist, Keating has sold more than 20 million records worldwide alongside the 25 million records with Boyzone.

It will be his only public Australian performance in 2024, with the UK-based star set to fly into Melbourne following a successful German tour.

VRC Executive General Manager Experience and Events Luke Kinniburgh said Keating was the perfect fit for Crown Oaks Day.

“Securing an international artist of Ronan’s calibre is truly exciting, he’s one of the industry’s best known and most-loved artists and will bring his trademark Irish charm and voice to VRC Oaks Day,” Mr Kinniburgh said.

Keating and his Australian-born wife Storm have visited Flemington’s famous Birdcage Enclosure twice before, first on Lexus Melbourne Cup Day in 2009 and in 2012, on Penfolds Victoria Derby Day.

“I have loved visiting Flemington in the past and can’t wait to perform in The Park for the first time,” Keating said.

He will also perform at the annual VRC Crown Oaks Club Lunch on Wednesday 6 November.

Multi-platinum selling ARIA nominated singer and songwriter Ricki-Lee will also take to the stage in The Park on Crown Oaks Day.

Her latest album On My Own hit #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and features two #1 singles On My Own and Ghost.
