"We thought about stepping him out over six furlongs (1200m) in the Tobin Bronze, but we've kept him fresh for this race," Cummings told RSN.
"Then if we want to stretch him a little bit in a couple of runs time, there is the Listed A.R. Creswick Stakes over six furlongs which will give him the opportunity to do it up the straight again which he loves so much.
"He's going well and coming back to the straight where he goes so well, is ideal and the nice tick over jump-out he had last week was quite pleasing." - James Cummings
Renosu finished second in the 800m jump-out at Flemington last Friday which followed a trip to Adelaide when fourth to I'mLovin'Ya in the Listed Redelva Stakes (1100m) at Morphettville.
At his previous outing, Renosu had finished second to the smart What You Need in the Listed Sunlight Classic (1100m) at Flemington.
Cummings said the main opposition to Renosu on Saturday were the emergencies – Fasuto, Treporti and Outback Action.
"We're hoping those stables don't get phone calls advising their horses have gained a start," Cummings joked.
Unfortunately for Cummings and Godolphin, Kentucky Casanova has been withdrawn, paving the way for Fasuto to take his place.
