Flemington is one of the world’s leading racehorse training centres thanks to a variety of training tracks and its state-of-the-art facilities. There are eight training tracks including a 2,200m all-weather synthetic training track ensuring year-round access for the Flemington-based trainers and their stable of stars. 

Some of Australia’s most prominent trainers have chosen to call Flemington home with 18 stables located down the famous Flemington Stables Drive.

Chris Waller Racing

Danny O'Brien

The master Flemington trainer has proven himself to be one of Australia’s most astute boasting a strike rate to make him the envy of his competition. Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott have been in partnership since 2016 and have been a dominating force in the Australian thoroughbred industry ever since from their Tulloch Lodge stables. Tulloch Lodge has produced some of the best horses ever to run in Australia, including the legendary Kingston Town and Tulloch.

The global racing powerhouse extends its dominance to Flemington under the stewardship of elite trainer James Cummings at the Carbine Lodge stables. With a legacy of breeding and training excellence, the “Blue Army” consistently produces topline performers and multiple Group 1 winners.

Hawkes Racing

Michael, Wayne, and their father John Hawkes were the first three-person training partnership in Australian racing. By having training facilities in Sydney and at Flemington, the team gives its owners every chance to earn a share of the biggest prizemoney in Australian racing by seamlessly transferring their elite equine thoroughbreds between states.

Lindsay Park

Complimenting their state-of-the-art private training facility near Euroa in Victoria, Lindsay Park at Flemington is the ideal training extension in a metro environment. Nick Ryan Racing

Anthony & Sam Freedman

The famous Freedman family is synonymous with some of racing’s most famous champions and the father and son duo have continued the legacy since their partnership started in 2020. With a base at Pinecliff and Flemington, the training partnership has provided a steady flow of Group 1 winners.
