Thought the market might miss KING ZEPHYR (4) to some extent but they've got a good opinion of him and have clearly forgiven his first up run which is fair enough. 1200m around Caulfield isn't his go and he pulled up lame so we have to excuse that. 1400m, dry ground, big track tick all the boxes and he's always promised to be firmly up to this class and potentially better. ATHANATOS (3) has been very good in two runs back, just finding one better in a fast race last time. Fancy he might now want a mile but he maps to sit in the first four and will go close. ENXUTO (2) was terrible in the Doncaster Prelude when well backed last time. His form prior reads well for this, he can hit back hard. BIG SWINGER (7) was okay fresh at Caulfield and 1400m suits better. MERRIGOLD (6) is flying off a good win last time with 60kg, against the boys now and up in class but she gets in light with claims.
Back from a long spell. Finished off last campaign 6th of 13 at this track in the G2 Lets Elope on September 13 over 1400m, 3 len behind Lazzura with 57.5kg at $18. Won previous preparation first up came home strongly from last on the turn and won by 0.8 len at Morphettville Parks Hcp September 28 2024 over 1250m defeating Klabel carrying 54.5kg at $2.10. Finished fourth in a Flemington jump-out on April 10. Has the ability, watch the late betting.
Last start 9th of 11 at Rosehill in the G3 Donc Prel on March 28 over 1500m, slow going 12 len behind Welwal with 53.5kg at $5. The start before that 3rd of 11 at Rosehill in the G2 Ajax on March 14 over 1500m, 0.7 len behind Cristal Clear with 53kg at $3.60. Form prior reads very well for this, look to bounce back.
Third-up today and placed third-up in the past. First-up 3rd in a small field at Caulfield Vgold So Si Bon on March 14 over 1400m, 2.75 len behind Harry's Yacht carrying 55kg at $3.80. Second run from a spell 2nd of 15 at Caulfield in the G3 Vic Hcp on April 4 over 1400m, 1.5 len behind Hughes carrying 54kg at $11. Fitter now and making headway. Peaks now and sets up well here.

Previously second-up came from midfield and won by 1.75 len at Sandown-Hillside Bm84 September 27 over 1400m defeating So Risque carrying 59kg at $1.95. Much better suited here, can improve sharply.
Racing well recently. Comes here off a 59-day let-up. Most recently 2nd in a small field at Launceston in the LR Hellova St Stks on February 25 over 1600m, 0.8 len behind Steparty with 59kg at $15. The start before that 4th of 11 at Hobart in the LR Wfa on February 8 over 1400m, slow going 1.5 len behind Steparty carrying 59kg at $26. Handy horse who can measure up.
Form hard to fault. At the latest run came from midfield and won by 1.3 len at Caulfield Bm84 April 4 over 1400m defeating Gold Medallist carrying 60kg at $14. The start before that 2nd of 8 at Caulfield Vgold Distaff on March 14 over 1400m, 0.8 len behind Betwitchery with 54.5kg at $3.80. Racing in fine form and can figure again.
